Chromebook Update Required: OS Version 141 has been released. To ensure devices receive this critical update, please leave student Chromebooks ON, OPEN, and PLUGGED IN at the end of the school day. Closing the lid will prevent the update.

Weekly Highlights & Key Dates

• Schedule: The week of January 26–30 follows the standard A/B rotation (Monday is a B Day).
• Electives Fair: Students can explore course options for next year on February 5 from 2:00–3:10 PM in the Pride Gym.
• Parent Event: Join the MFLC and School Liaison on February 10 at 4:30 PM (Bldg 788, Rm 22) for a discussion on managing screen time and digital decisions.

Student Opportunities & Scholarships

Scholarship Deadlines: 

• Zeta Phi Beta Sorority: Applications due January 30 by 11:59 PM.
• Delta Sigma Theta Sorority: Applications due April 10.

Athletics Update

Winter Sports & Far East:

Good luck to our teams traveling to competitions!

• Jan 24 (Saturday): Cheer @ KIS, KAIAC Basketball Championships, and Wrestling @ Osan (Senior Recognition).
• Jan 28–30 (Wed–Fri): Girls Wrestling and Marksmanship teams travel to Okinawa for Far East competitions.
• Jan 31 (Saturday): JV Boys Basketball @ GSIS.

Spring Sports Registration:

• Start Date: Practices begin February 18.
• Available Sports: Baseball, Softball, Soccer, and Track & Field.
• Mandatory Meeting: A required session for athletes and parents is scheduled for February 24 at 6:00 PM in the OMHS Auditorium.

• District Teacher of the Year: Nominations are open online until February 6.
• School Nurse of the Year (OSHNA): Email nominations to Charlotte Geehreng by February 25.
