Welcome to the start of the Spring Semester! Please note the schedule changes and important events for the upcoming week.

• No School: There is no school on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
• Spring Semester Begins: The first day of the new semester is Tuesday, January 20 (C Day).
• PTSO Meeting: Join the meeting on Wednesday, January 21 at 15:30 in Endurance Rm 219.
• Spring Picture Day: Scheduled for Friday, January 23.
  • This includes underclassmen and Senior portrait make-ups.
  • Tip: Please avoid wearing green, as green screens are used for the background.
  • Ordering is available at www.capturecord.com using your Student ID.

Student Opportunities & Scholarships

• Scholarship Deadlines
  Several scholarship opportunities are available for graduating seniors. Please note the following deadlines:
  • Alpha Omega Sigma Chapter (Phi Beta Sigma): Applications due January 23, 2026, by 18:00.
  • Zeta Phi Beta Sorority: Applications due January 30, 2026, by 11:59 PM KST.
  • Delta Sigma Theta Sorority: Applications due April 10, 2026.
• Academic Planning
  • Electives Fair: Students can explore course options for the 2026-2027 school year on February 5th from 2:00–3:10 PM in the Pride Gym.

Athletics Update

• Winter Sports Schedule
  Support our Cougars at these upcoming events:
  • Jan 17 (Saturday): Marksmanship @ HHS, Basketball vs. DMHS, and Wrestling @ HHS.
  • Jan 21 (Wednesday): Varsity Basketball @ DSS and Wrestling @ SFS.
  • Jan 24 (Saturday): Cheer @ KIS, KAIAC Basketball Championships, and Wrestling @ Osan.
• Spring Sports Registration
  • Start Date: Spring sports practices officially begin on Wednesday, February 18.
  • Available Sports: Softball, Baseball, Soccer (Boys/Girls), and Track & Field.
  • Mandatory Meeting: A required informational session for athletes and parents will be held on February 24 at 6:00 PM in the OMHS Auditorium.

Community Nominations & Involvement

We need your help recognizing our outstanding staff and supporting our school:

• District Teacher of the Year: Nominations are open until February 6, 2026. Visit the DoDEA website to nominate a teacher who has made an impact.
• School Nurse of the Year (OSHNA): Submit nominations for the school nurse by emailing Charlotte Geehreng by February 25, 2026.
• School Advisory Committee (SAC): Volunteers are needed to join a working group to discuss coach recruitment and resources. Email osanmiddlehighsac@gmail to join.
