Award Amount: Two (2) scholarships of $750.00 each

The Republic of Korea Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is offering scholarships to deserving high school seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. This award supports students planning to pursue higher education in the upcoming academic year.

Eligibility Requirements 

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Status: Be a graduating high school senior (Class of 2026) attending a DoDEA school in the Republic of Korea.
• Citizenship: Be a United States citizen.
• Academics: Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.
• Future Plans: Be accepted to a two-year or four-year accredited college or university for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Application Checklist 

A complete application package must include the following:

• Completed Application Form: Including personal, family, and educational data, as well as honors and activities.
• Academic Verification Form: Submitted as part of the package.
• High School Transcript: Must be included with the application.
• Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Using the forms provided in the packet.
  • One from a School Official.
  • One from a Community Official.
  • Note: Recommendations cannot be from relatives.

• Essay: A 500-word, double-spaced essay highlighting your high school career, your future goals, and how this scholarship will help you.

   

Submission Guidelines

• Deadline: Friday, April 10, 2026, by 11:59 PM KST.
• How to Submit: Email the application, forms, and transcript as one complete package to koreakeeperofrecords@gmail.com.

• Assistance: If you are unable to scan and email the application, guidance counselors may contact Brother Xavian Rutherford, Brother Tobin Seymour, or Brother Teron Laidler for assistance.

   

Selection & Award

• Notification: Selected recipients will be notified by mail, email, or telephone no later than April 24, 2026.
• Award Ceremony: Scholarships will be presented at the corresponding high school spring scholarship events (e.g., at Humphreys or Osan).
• Distribution: Funds are distributed directly to the university's financial aid office upon verification of enrollment.
